The Ballad of Owl and Bear

This Bear, she loved her honey
That golden syrup sweet
She also found the Owl
to be a handsome beast

His eyes! filled with fury
His talons! pierce with precision
He philosophically asks, "Who?"
His wisdom she can't envision

Whoooo...

Could he love Honey Bear?
That sweet but savage brute?
She was big thus her chance was slim
He only seemed to find fairies cute

He was a carnivore
She was an omnivore
His petite pixie girlfriends
were all woodland whores

He enjoyed her Bear jokes
especially the ones about Weasels
Laughter spiraled up with him
Perhaps their love was feasible

Whoooo...

Could he love Honey Bear?
His lust for fairies waned in part
Because he saw that the only thing big about
Honey Bear was her heart

He swooped to touch her fur
She grabbed hold of his feather
They grazed the heavens, wing-in-paw
Now they were together

Their magnificent owl-bear offspring
Rid the forest of danger
Safe and happy, Owl whispered to Bear,
"You are my Ursa Major."

Whoooo...
